PDF stands for Portable Document Format and it was invented by Adobe and perfected over 15 years. PDF is a popular way of formatting documents so they can be viewed and printed on multiple platforms without changing such as fonts and paper size.
Mac OS X has great support for PDF. Instead of physcially printing a document, you can electronically print it using PDF to your desktop. You can open PDF documents with Preview.
Please follow the steps below to print as PDF.
1. Using any application that is capable of printing, click on File in the top menu bar and then on Print...
2. Click on the button called PDF in the bottom left corner.
3. You can select any of the options presented. The two common choices are Save as PDF... and Compress PDF.
4. Continue to follow the screens to save the PDF to a location such as the desktop. |
