Support Notes > How To Create A Conference In FirstClass
The following steps are based on FirstClass 8.3
If you are using 8.0 or 8.1 we highly recommend that you start using 8.3
1. Log into FirstClass.
2. Make sure the FirstClass Desktop is showing. If you are looking at another area of FirstClass, please go to the Desktop.
3. While holding down the Control button on the keyboard use the mouse to click anywhere on the background space on the Desktop.
4. Click on New Conference.
5. Click on Standard Conference and then click on the OK button.
6. You should now be looking at the Desktop and you should be able to see New Conference. Start typing the title you want for the conference and then hit Return on the keyboard to save the title.
If you want to rename the conference later you can by holding down the Control button on the keyboard and use the mouse to click on the conference. Choose Rename.
7. While holding down the Control button on the keyboard use the mouse to click on the new conference.
8. Click on Permissions...
9. Enter your name into the Who field. By default the Access will be Disallowed. Change Disallowed to Controller to give yourself full acess.
10. In the List of subscribers field enter the names of the people you wish to view the conference. Names not in this field will not have access. Do not repeat any names that are in the Who field.
11. If you want to give other people access in managing the conference enter their names into the Who field and assign to them the appropriate Access level you wish to give. |
